I can't imagine living with adequate air conditioning

Being from this region, I sort of have an idea on the summer time months.

But that’s more to do with experience and adjusting to the heat than it does with anything else.

Just like everyone else,I struggle with high heat levels and humidity in the region. I must use a cooling system to deal with those temperatures and keep the humidity in check. However, since I’ve been here all my life, I’m somehow lucky compared to new people or visitors. When someone new comes into my HVAC company office I empathize with them as summers can be brutal here. The same goes for those who are new to the city, church or other new areas with rookies. There are some who spend one summer and quickly go back to where they come from. I make it my business to support and help such people get more accustomed to this region. With all the awesome stuff going on here, it is a pity when people leave or stay stuck inside their air conditioned house for 3 to 4 months straight. My goal is to always remind them that our elderly ancestors never had residential Heating systems or A/Cbut they still thrived in the same environment. While that is sort of impossible to get my head around, the point is to encourage visitors to cope and adjust. And that’s the best way to deal with the heat. Simply accept it and start by leaving the air conditioner off until mid summer if you can. Doing this will make life so much easier and also save you heating and cooling costs in the long run.
