I’m a sucker for pet causes.
I really can’t rest the thought of any sweet little pet suffering or living in deplorable conditions.
That’s why I am a huge suggest for local pet shelters. I like to volunteer my time plus resources as best I can in order to help further the mission of these necessary institutions. Recently, I found out that a local no-kill shelter was experiencing horrific conditions due to their failing air conditioning system. See, living in the south it is entirely imperative to have passable cooling systems in place or else you will not survive. The shelter had an a/c that was intended to repair the entire facility, but the outdated cooling unit had seen better days. Apparently it was working on plus off without any rhyme or reason, plus the temperature swings were making everyone sick. The shelter had already called out their local Heating & Air Conditioning supplier over a dozen times. The ventilation supplier was performing their repairs for free in an effort to help the little shelter, but their outdated A/C unit wasn’t going to stay afloat much longer. That’s when I decided to step in plus try to rally the neighborhood to help. My associate and I held fundraisers plus bake sales, a pet parade, plus numerous donation events. Through all these efforts my great friend and I raised over 5 thousand dollars for replacing the outdated A/C unit plus fully servicing the rest of the ventilation system. With the help of another Heating & Air Conditioning dealership my great friend and I were able to fully revamp the shelter’s cooling system, providing comfort for numerous more generations of pets.
