Moving the ACIt was more difficult than I thought it would be.

For the past two months, I had been asking our partner to take the A/C unit out of our study room window.

I felt the icy wind coming in through the side of the A/C unit, and I slept on that side of the bed, then since I didn’t expect Bob to change sides of the bed with me, or stop hogging all the blankets, I knew I had to get rid of the A/C unit.

While Bob went to the neighborhood for me, I laid a carpet on the floor and pulled the window open. I thought it was going to be so easy to remove the AC unit, since I was the one who installed it. I had one edge of the AC unit lifted over the lip of the window. I was trying to get the other side up, but nothing else was happening. No matter how hard I pulled on the AC unit, I could not get it lifted up and out of the window. I felt around to see if I had missed something, when I felt our palm connect with something sharp. I pulled our hand in, only to see blood oozing from several small pinholes. After pulling the AC unit forward, I realized the climbing rose bush was growing in through the air vent holes in the back of the AC unit. I lowered the window and got a pair of clippers to cut the rose bush away from the AC unit. It only took a few more minutes to remove the AC unit, even though I made a note on the calendar to get rid of that climbing rose bush before summer.
