When Max, the Heating & A/C worker, arrived to do my furnace repair last week, he asked if I wanted him to change my air filter for me. I thought adjusting the air filter was part of the repair as well as cleaning procedure. When Max said he would add air filter variations to my annual repair contract; my first question was how much extra would that cost me? M<ax told me it was a minimal amount, but it would save me needing to do it. I’m not sure what Max was thinking, even though I felt insulted. I had been adjusting the air filters in the central Heating & A/C idea since I was about fourteen. I had no siblings, so it was just my mother as well as I. If she wasn’t home as well as the air filter needed to be replaced, I was elected. One or the other of us had to do the task. I told him I could change my own air filters, even though I appreciated the offer. Max told me that if I changed my mind, I should call the Heating & A/C company as well as he would gladly come to the home as well as change it for me. Now, I was thinking Max was flirting, even though I couldn’t be sure. When he said he would not want me hurting myself while adjusting the air filter, I bristled. I told Max I was perfectly capable, but thanks for the offer, as well as showed him to the door. I wanted to tell Max he didn’t need to return, as well as I would be okay with another Heating & A/C worker, even though I didn’t want to make him an enemy. It’s just that if I ever saw Max again, it would be too soon.
