I think there is a lot of my life that has been changed due to the pandemic.
And I’ve been lucky enough not to have been infected.
That’s due in large part to staying close to the air conditioning at home. Before I was vaccinated, I didn’t hardly leave the HVAC security of my home at all. I would leave the air conditioning of home to get fresh air and exercise outside. And I would get up really early to be the first one inside the grocery store to avoid crowds. This was my life for more than a year. As it was for so many of us. And I think that this being at home so much really changed my perspective in a really big way. For one, I wasn’t going in to the zone controlled HVAC of the office everyday. This was something that I have never experienced before. And frankly, I really liked the fact that I got so much more work done when working from home in my own air conditioning. I noticed that I wasn’t as stressed out and forever running behind while at home for that first year. And that led to me paying a lot more attention to the stuff that really was important in my life. How I left my care for the HVAC equipment come after some superfluous thing on my list is something I’m still trying to sort out. But I know that in the past two years, I haven’t missed an HVAC air filter change. And I’ve also made sure the HVAC maintenance happened each fall and spring.
