Thankful for a/c

We’ve had nothing however steady rain for the past few afternoons, but despite the nonstop downpour, the heat and humidity have not let up… I am harshly thankful that both of us finally replaced our Heating and A/C system. My hubby and I had been procrastinating over upgrading the packaged unit, and although it was seasoned and no longer residing up to expectations, both of us were reluctant to make such a substantial investment, the former unit continued to operate however continually malfunctioned. It struggled to manage the chilly Wintertide weather, often freezing up, and the home often felt sticky during the middle of summer, then every one of us finally decided that it would be better to be proactive than to be left without temperature control at the worst possible time. Although purchasing and installing a new packaged heating and cooling unit was rather extravagant, the process was quick and easy. The system was up and running in a single day with no mess created. Every one of us chose to replace the temperature control at the same time, and the improvement has been significant. The savings on the weekly utility bills will help to reclaim the cost. The temperature from room to room is far more consistent, and we’ve noticed that there’s less dust and other contaminants floating around. I am just glad that our home is perfectly comfortable while both of us are trapped inside on these rainy afternoons. I don’t need to worry about the a/c quitting in the middle of the night, because of the new temperature control, I can make adjustments to temperature, fan speed and all kinds of features through an app on our iPhone.
