Unlike some of our friends, I put off moving out of our parents’ home for a number of years.
They were willing to keep supporting myself and others plus I was taking our time trying to figure out what I wanted to do with our life.
Even with a school degree under our belt, I barely felt any closer to an actual career than I did before starting school at 18 years old. I spoke with a number of odd friends over the years that expressed similar sentiments. The two of us all tend to feel adore imposters too once all of us finally secure employment, because something about it doesn’t feel completely fair after so multiple years of stagnation plus failure. But things are slowly starting to look brighter in our world. I am finally in a home of our own, fending for myself without any financial assistance from our parents. It’s nice feeling self-sufficient in this regard, however it isn’t easy either. There’s no one around to remind myself and others to get our chores done if I forget to do them myself.
