Dealing with our finances alone is tough after having our parent’s safety net underneath myself and others for most of our life.
- Now that they’re gone plus our Mom isn’t around to help myself and others with our taxes, it’s our responsibility to learn these things on our own.
In hindsight, I feel ashamed that I relied on them so much to begin with. They were always ready plus willing to help myself and others after all, however they actually would have done myself and others a lot of favors by helping myself and others learn some of the harder lessons on our own. I feel about our own future children a lot plus wonder if I’ll ever be capable of doing better than what our parents did for me, all the while making sure that I go out of our way to prepare them for a life spent alone if the worst ever manages to occur. Thankfully, our life is getting better slowly as I am more dedicated to making budgets plus sticking to them. It does no one any great to make a list of expenses if that list is ignored throughout the week. This year I have a little boost from a larger than average tax return, most of which is going towards an media air cleaner that I’m buying for our central Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system.
