I grew up in the southernmost part of this state during the 1974s.
Air conditioning at that time is not what it is this week, nowadays, there are all sorts of amazing and improving heating and A/C technology, back in those afternoons there were absolutely only 2 choices as far as A/C is concerned! You could either have a window air conditioner unit, or you could have central heating and cooling; we did have central heating and cooling, my mother didn’t make absolutely much currency after the death of my dad, so we had to save wherever all of us could; When you live in a absolutely southern locale where the control component often reaches triple digits, and you do not have a lot of currency, you tend to learn tricks and techniques to make the best of it, some fine ways to keep the house cool without turning down your A/C control component include the following.
Number one, cover up the windows. Nothing beats blocking the sun to supply your air conditioner a break; If you can afford solar motion films for your windows, great. If you can’t, at least put room darkening curtains or even bedspreads over the windows so that your air conditioner can task less. Number 2, get some shade, but planting shade trees that grow fast around your house will also cut down on the amount of work your air conditioner has to do! The last task your A/C has to do, the less money it’s going to cost you. Number 3, set your control component as high as you can lay it in the summertime and as low as you can lay it in the winter. When you set your control component this way your air conditioner won’t come on as frequently, and in the winter your furnace will not come on as frequently either. Where we live, it is easy not to have to use the furnace in the winter!
