For the most part, I like staying at hotels, knowing that I can get our own private room away from people makes me happy.
- Periodically I stay at hotels just to be away for a little while.
It’s not anything against our family or friends, I just like our alone time. I was staying at a hotel for a few days, & even though I was originally staying to get some peace & quiet, that was not what I got. A mother of 5 kids were our next door neighbors, & it seemed like those kids never slept. All seconds of the night at least a single of them was up & screaming, & if a single starts screaming, the others are quick to join in. They would bang their fists on the wall plus run up & down the halls. It was incredibly annoying. I ended up complaining to the front desk & they moved me to another room. I could still hear the kids, however it was distant. However, there was another problem. This room didn’t seem to have regular air conditioning. The commercial Heating and A/C system was there, however it didn’t work constantly. And it didn’t take long before the room heated up. Looking at the control unit, it seemed the air conditioner was set to a permanent 73 degrees, which was far too tepid for me. I called & complained again, & apparently their Heating and A/C service man wasn’t here today, so I once again had to be moved into another room.
