When our oil furnace quit working, we wanted it repaired abruptly.
My dad and mom lived with us, and they were both in their mid-eighties. If it wasn’t eighty degrees in the house, they weren’t too blissful. I told them our oil furnace wasn’t working, and we had to huddle in the home office near the woodburner, and an hour later, the heating and A/C professional arrived at the house. I expected him to show up sooner because we said it was an emergency and also we were paying the heating and A/C corporation for overtime hours on top of the emergency fee. He told us she was going to do the task as abruptly as possible, however it took him over six hours. I asked why it took so long, and he said it was a difficult task. He still hadn’t completed the task yet and said he had to go to the heating and A/C corporation for more parts. Dad and mom were getting antsy and they wanted to go to bed, but I couldn’t let them away from the woodburner. I had to have heating and A/C or they were stuck here all night. I told the heating and A/C professional about our mom and dad and insisted that he had to get the oil furnace running abruptly. If he wasn’t done in half an hour, I would need to make a call to the hotel and get our parents out of this frigid house. They couldn’t go without the oil furnace for much longer. Dad was shivering, and mom’s lips were turning blueish. Six hours was more than enough to repair an oil furnace, and I wanted it done.
