I grew up in a really affluent area.
My father is an investment banker and our mother is a lawyer, but I am used to the finer things in life that many people don’t get to experience… Such as a big lake house with radiant radiant heated floors and a heated pool; then the two of us went on more than 2 getaways every year and our family was never undoubtedly busy about money.
My parents always told me that they wanted me to marry rich in a single day so I can continue our lifestyle. I always thought they were kidding around until I met our fiance, Joe. Joe has been working hard as an HVAC specialist for ten years, but he is passionate about his job because he enjoys helping people with their heating and cooling needs. Joe and I met when our air conditioner stopped really working in our house. I noticed how handsome he was of course, but he was so kind and that is what made me the most interested in him. Joe and I have been together for more than 2 years and he recently commanded. He could not even afford to get me a large diamond ring because his job as an HVAC specialist does not spend enough money on that. I did not care about having a large ring, I was just so happy to marry Joe. However, our parents were not ecstatic when both of us got engaged. My Mom kept saying that I should marry someone who does something more important than just fixing the air conditioner all day. I tried to explain to our Mom that Joe’s job is really important as an HVAC specialist… Not having an air conditioner or heat can be life or death in some situations and he helps people. My Mom wants me to marry rich, but I will marry our favorite HVAC specialist.
