When we planned for a new window installation, we thought we would have the people who sold the windows to us; do the installation. When they told us they didn’t have anyone available to do the window installation before the new year, we were devastated. They wouldn’t recommend anyone to us, and we thought they doomed us to have the old windows in the house when our company arrived. Our house was old and drafty, and the last of the changes needed to resolve that situation were new window installations. We had the windows for the house in the garage, along with the insulation, and the wood to build new window ledges. My husband had bought a case of window caulk, but that was in the basement where it wouldn’t freeze. All the window installation crew had to do was come to the house and install them. I would think the window installation crew would take the job since we will pay a premium price for the window installation, be we thought wrong. Not only wouldn’t they do it, but they didn’t care about the money. They wanted their weekends off and it didn’t matter what we were paying. We had to wait for the home center to get a crew free so we could get the window installation completed. My wife and I chose one window and wanted to install the window on our own, but we were confused after reading the window installation instruction. There was no way we could do any window installations without professional help, so we gave up before we started.
