I recently had a big argument with my girlfriend.
It’s the first time that we’ve had a major argument in our relationship.
These things are bound to eventually happen, and it’s better to just get it all out and work through it then just sit and stew. Well, we came to an understanding, but I feel that I was a little harsh with my words. I wanted to remind my girlfriend that I love her no matter what, so I purchased some nice flowers for her. When I went to her apartment to present them to her, she came to the door and a wave of heat met me as she opened it. It turns out that she was having some serious issues with her air conditioning system. She looked like a hot mess, no pun intended. She appreciated the flowers, but I can tell she was agitated because of the air conditioner not working. Heating and air conditioning maintenance was something that never really came up before. Instinctively, I went to check on her air filter. When I pulled the air filter out, I almost gagged and I had to cough because of how much dirt and dander had choked it up! When she asked me what I was doing and why the thing I was holding was so dirty, I knew it was time for a little education in HVAC. Once I explained what the air filter was and why it was important to change it out regularly, my girlfriend clearly felt a little embarrassed about the whole ordeal, but that’s okay! You’ve got to learn sometime!
