One thing I always do when I am looking to buy any kind of heating and air conditioning products is to go into the city to do so. The reason I go into the city to buy anything heating and air conditioning related is because it is much cheaper than in my suburban area believe it or not. The city has a lot of sales on brand new, up to date and usually very expensive central heating and air conditioning system units. They also will have the most great sales on portable air conditioning systems as well as portable space heaters and just about anything else you can think of. Even smart thermostats are cheaper in the city with the sales they always have. It is worth the 1 hour drive just to take advantage of these savings when I am looking to buy anything related to heating and air conditioning. Even the high priced HEPA air filters that I buy for my central heating and air conditioning system are not so high priced when going into the city and finding them on sale by buying in bulk. Which is what I do every single time I need to refill the HEPA air filters that I use in my central heating and air conditioning system unit. But soon I will actually be looking to buy a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system. And by going into the city I will save probably at least a thousand bucks compared to what I would pay if I bought a new central heating and air conditioning system in my local area.
