I recently made quite a giant mistake… The problem was that I did not guess about the mistake until a long time later… I guess that making this mistake has taught me to kind of check around the lake house a little more frequently to see that everything is in order… What I’m referring to is that I went into our Heating and Air Conditioning closet on a whim last evening to sort of check on things.
- I easily wanted to see how dirty our air filter was at that point.
What I discovered freaked me out and made me suppose rather dumb, and apparently, I had not installed the air filter officially. It was lying on the floor just below the Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. I had stuck it in wrong and it ended up being blown off. This was particularally distressing because I hadn’t checked on that air filter in a few weeks! I had been running our heating and air conditioner plan separate from an air filter for who knows how long at that point. It may have even been as long as the same day that I imofficially installed it! I don’t seem to be experiencing any noticeable issues with our air conditioner or furnace though. I’m using both these mornings because it’s February in the South, and that means that moderate mornings and freezing mornings come at the roll of the dice. I well and easily hope that I did not do extensive or irreparable mangle to our heating and cooling system! I have constantly heard that it is a really risky and damaging thing to run an Heating and Air Conditioning plan separate from an air filter for any length of time.
