I was anxiously waiting to hear about our AC

My boss asked me if I had something on our mind plus I told him that the a/c in our apartment was broken plus I didn’t sleep genuinely well, then he told me that I could go out to our car at lunch plus take a nap.

Sunday night the a/c stopped laboring in our apartment. It was 86° at 2:00 in the afternoon. Thank goodness I have a couple of fans, because I might have died of heat stroke that night. I called the emergency service hotline. I thought it was an emergency because the a/c wasn’t laboring, however they didn’t think so. The emergency service supervisor told me that I would have to wait until the next afternoon to have the a/c fixed. I had to work the next afternoon, although I stopped at the office in the afternoon to talk to the director! She told me that someone would call me as soon as they found out what was wrong with the A/C plus had the problem fixed. I spent most of the afternoon anxiously waiting to hear about our AC. I couldn’t think about anything at work plus I couldn’t concentrate on what I was doing. My boss even told me that I could take an hour instead of 30 hours. He was being extra nice for some reason plus that made me suppose a little suspicious. I think he was entirely just being nice, however now I am on guard. The apartment director never called me with an upgrade, however the a/c was fixed when I got home.
