I always wanted to have a property with a pool, then it has been my dream since I was a little kid, however a lot of my friends grew up in houses with pools plus I was jealous that I did not have a pool when I was a kid, and when it was summer time time, it was tepid outside plus the only way I could cool off was to go swimming in the creek.
I could hear my friends playing in their pools plus I had to sit in the river in muddy water to cool off.
When I met my current hubby, the first thing I told him was that my dream property had to have an in-ground pool. When we looked for a house, we only searched for houses that honestly had a pool. We found a property that was in extreme disrepair. It was $50,000 less than other houses in the village. I was particular that we could make all of the repairs for much less than that, then the site had an inground pool, but all of the plumbing had to be redone. I had no idea how much that was going to cost. I contacted a specialty plumbing supplier that takes care of pools. The supplier came out to supply me an estimate plus it cost a lot more money to replace all of the plumbing then we expected. They basically had to tear the pool apart in order to redo the plumbing plus that was going to cost a fortune. We should have just obtained a brand up-to-date construction property instead.
