I can’t repair heating devices anymore

I worked in the heating and cooling industry for 30 years of my life.

  • When I finished with the military at 22, I decided to go to a technical college nearby to learn more about heating and AC repairs and upgrade work.

The classes were difficult and I had an undoubtedly difficult time passing all of the tests, and it had been a while since I had studied and been in college and I didn’t do honestly well then either. That’s one of the reasons why I decided to go into the military. My grades were not bad and there was no way that I was going to qualify for college. Military was my only option other than working at the fast food business. After I finished college and found a job I spent the next 22 years of my life working on heat pump repairs and AC upgrades. I inspected residential, commercial, and Industrial projects, and during that time I beat up my body. It was too difficult on my back and my knees, and I am not even 50 years old yet and I already have trouble bending and squatting. I can no longer labor in the repair industry and there are some afternoons when I miss doing the task that I love, but most of the time I’m thankful that I got out when I did. A lot of people continue working in the Heating and A/C industry until they undoubtedly cannot move anymore. I didn’t want to wait to get out of the industry until I was riddled with back, knees, and neck troubles
