When mom called in tears, I knew there was something wrong.
She told me she couldn’t live alone anymore and asked if my offer for her to temporarily move in with us was still open.
I told her to let us know when she was ready, and we would have her room ready for her. She wanted to know if the following weekend would be too soon. The room was ready, but the bathroom was not yet completed, and my partner and I needed Heating, Ventilation and A/C in that area. I called my hubby and told him mom was moving in ten afternoons. He told me to grab the list of things my friend and I needed for the bathroom, and I needed to call the Heating, Ventilation and A/C dealer and have them install the ductless Heating, Ventilation and A/C system in the room. I then called my sibling-in-law and asked if he was available this weekend. I explained the situation and he said he would be over on Tuesday and could have the bathroom installed by the end of the weekend. My hubby and I were in a mad rush to get the bathroom done, but the Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman couldn’t get here until the Tuesday before mom arrived. It surprised me at how rapidly the Heating, Ventilation and A/C was installed. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman had it installed before my hubby and his sibling had the shower installed, then everything was ready for mom, and all I had to do was go up to the farm and put it up for sale. I knew this would be the hardest part, because I had to close up the house once I packed the few things mom wanted to bring with her. She didn’t realize she had a big bedroom, a large wardrobe, and a bathroom, and was happy to know that she had us and her granddaughter.
