My partner & I had been fighting so much lately that it was frigid in the house… Our air conditioner wasn’t working respectfully, & it was as warm & humid inside as it was outside, then my youngsters were threatening to turn the boiler on because of how cold it was between my partner & I.
- My buddy and I were blaming each other for the lack of air conditioner, but i heard our oldest son on the cellphone, & instead of asking who it was, I told him to hang it up & go to his room; He finished his conversation & headed to his room, but an hour later, there was a knock on the door.
My partner told me he wasn’t expecting anyone, & I would not answer the door since he was closer. My son came out of his room & opened the door. He followed the man out & walked around to the side of the house. I was curious when I saw them in the backyard. I realized the man outside with my son was an Heating as well as A/C corporation. He was talking to my son & laughing, while checking on the air conditioner unit. An hour later, I saw the Heating as well as A/C corporation shake my son’s hand & take a piece of paper from him. My son came in & handed me the paper. He turned on the air conditioner & went back to his room. He handed me the bill for the air conditioner repair. I rapidly realized my son was being more adult than his father & I, & I was so proud of him.
