Instead of adjusting the Heating and cooling unit at the start of the temperature changes, they simply opened the windows and switched on some fans. It was particularly quite an improvement. They found out that this helped the HVAC system adjust to the rising temperatures perfectly. So the moment it would creep into the nineties, they would flip on the air conditioner. But of course, having acclimated to the heat, they needed far less AC this summer. This approach saved them hundreds of dollars over all the summer time months.
