When my hubby told me that the lodge that my friend and I were going to be rustic, I thought that she was exaggerating just a little.
It turned out that she wasn’t stressing the rustic part enough! This location looked like it belonged in the 16th century or something like that.
I am not even exaggerating at all. I don’t even know where she found this location because it did not look like something that you would ever find on the internet, that’s for sure. Likewise, I had not stayed in a location like this one before and it was a bit of a culture shock for me, that’s for sure. Furthermore, I have stayed in several nice hotels plus inns over the years, but I have never stayed in a location like this one. It didn’t even have air conditioning in it at all. It did not even have a window unit cooling system in the family room or anything like that! I couldn’t suppose it because I have never stayed in a location separate from air conditioning before. Luckily for us, my friend and I weren’t there while in the summer. Otherwise, I would have been a mess. I do not like being too tepid plus I would have hated being stuck at this location separate from a cooling system. It was weird enough to be there while in the winter! This location really had this seasoned baseboard heating installed in it all along the walls. I couldn’t suppose it. I had never seen baseboard heating before except for in the films! It kept the location fairly warm, but I would do not like to be the one to pay the heating bills at that location.
