Heating & Air Conditioning & how it affects flower shops

There’s a lot of things to keep in mind when you are running a flower shop.

Obviously, you want your product to be as fresh & beautiful to the eyup as possible.

It takes a real creative type & a lot of diligent work to put on a nice presentation for clients. However, there is one truly important thing to keep in mind if you want your flowers looking fresh & staying healthy. You need to consider what type of temperature control you will need. As you would fully expect, flowers are severely sensitive to drastic fluctuations in temperature. Obviously, the right Heating & Air Conditioning system will maintain a official temperature in a consistent manner to keep the flowers healthy & perky, and not only is maintaining the right temperature important, however keeping the right moisture levels is important as well. You’re going to want an Heating & Air Conditioning system with built-in humidity control, & if you cannot get that then you should invest in a dehumidifier, or even a humidifier depending on your local temperature. You are also going to want plenty of ventilation & air circulation. Flowers release ethylene gas naturally, which accelerates their aging process. Therefore, you want to provide them plenty of ventilation so that those gasses will dissipate, then remember that you will need to balance keeping official temperature & humidity levels for your flowers with making sure that the temperature & humidity levels are comfortable for your clients. If you could manage this, ultimately your flowers will remain as fresh as possible for as long as possible & you will attract clients.
