When my mother was taken to the hospital, I was on a trip.
I had to book an emergency flight plus get home to her.
I didn’t want her to know I wasn’t going to get home before her surgery, so I called my sibling plus she put mom on the PC, and she was in tears when I told her I would be home in about three hours. I would be there for her when she went into surgery. I had to go because they were calling to board my plane. When I got into the airplane, I wasn’t thinking about where I was seated, then my mind was on my mom! Five minutes later, I was thinking about the seating. I was sitting next to a guy that was twice my size, plus taking up half my seat. He was tall plus needed extra leg room, but they would not let him move. I provided to provide him the outer seat, although he said it would be worse when he started tripping the stewards. I then observed how stale the air felt. I had the personal air vent pointed right at my face, but the air quality was even worse that way. The air vent was pouring out recycled air, plus it was horrid. I was about to gag, the air quality was so bad. The guy next me leaned over plus asked if I was smelling anything off? I told him the air quality was bad, plus there was nothing they could do to repair it until we landed. I planned on renting a car when I got off the plane, that way I would have excellent cooling system plus air quality on my way to the hospital.
