My partner & I were consistently complaining about how warm it was. I talked to my partner about moving up north where it didn’t get so hot. He told me there had to be a better way to escape the heat. I wanted a new air conditioner unit. Ours had been in the apartment for almost twenty years, but my partner was a cheapskate. He didn’t want to pay when he didn’t suppose it was necessary! When it was over ninety degrees for weeks at a time, I thought a new A/C component was a necessity! The coolest my associate and I could get in the apartment was 70 degrees & the A/C component was no longer ridding the apartment of the humidity, which made it feel even hotter! Last week, my partner brought him brochures that showed available homes for sale up north. I looked at the prices & told him it would be cheaper to buy the A/C unit. He shrugged & tossed the papers in the trash. I wasn’t sure if he was being extreme about moving until I heard him on the cellphone. He was talking to a realtor & was telling the realtor my associate and I couldn’t get there for about a week. He told me he had found a apartment in ME, & he was fairly certain my associate and I could afford it. It was right by the ocean & the average summer time temperature was in the low eighties. He didn’t ask about the average winter temperatures. I was wondering if my associate and I weren’t going to have more trouble staying warm than my associate and I were having staying cool here.
