The great outdoors aren't for me!

I would like to be a rugged outdoorsman.

I enjoy the romantic aspects of just literally living in a log cottage up in the mountains with nothing but the pine trees and the grizzly bears keeping you corporation, actually I do.

But after a recent camping trip, I have realized that my romanticized ideas of such a lifestyle are actually nothing more than a fantasy for me. The reason is simple: it sucked; Everything about the trip sucked. The heat and direct sun exposure during the day, the bugs always flying into my ear, and the campfire stinging my esure and burning my face off at night. I can go on, but suffice to say that I much care about a climate controlled space instead. I can rest in my dining room with the air conditioning running as I watch some film about the great outdoors, or even a nature program. That is the only way that I will ever experience such things again, and it’s actually getting the best of both worlds. I get to actually be comfortable and enjoy the temperature that I desire, and I get to see nature’s beauty. Thinking about it, it’s the same for the winter, really. Snowfall can be a attractive thing, but it’s much more attractive when you’re enjoying it fall outside a frosted window pane, while you’re nice and cozy inside your holiday home, as the boiler warms your heart and soul, just like it should be. Humans fought long and hard to conquer the elements, and my pal and I finally have, my pal and I might as well enjoy it.
