I can’t picture myself as someone’s spouse in a few weeks.
I always look back and wonder how it even happened. And given the fact that I’m 53 years old would seem to make me less skeptical about marriage. That said, my new husband and I have known each other all our lives. We’ve been friends for as long as I can remember and things just sort of became romantic a few years ago. We picked my place as our new home and needed to make a few HVAC adjustments to perfect it. Due to location and size, we thought this would be the best place to call our home, at least for now. His area was a large family home where he had raised his kids from a previous marriage. Just thinking about the heating and cooling costs of such a bi house was insane. Speaking of heating and cooling, that was like the first thing he mentioned when he moved in. I bet I hadn’t paid that much attention to most things before. Being the sort of woman who can end up wearing socks all day, I’m not always keenly aware of things like that, especially not the heating and air conditioning. We had to visit the VAC company next to my house and learned more about the different HVAC equipment. It is amazing how much the AC technology has changed. And we got it all right this time round. Everything from the zone controlled heating and cooling was exciting for us. I’m just glad this comes at a time when I’m learning to be somebody’s wife.
