I am actually excited to be heading to the state park for a fishing trip in two weeks. It has been a actually difficult summer time plus I easily need to get away. The idea of sitting by the water with a fishing pole in hand, soaking up the sun, plus enjoying the view, seems like perfection to me. We are going with my spouse’s aunt plus aunt for a three afternoon trip. The only thing I am concerned about is the weather. The long range forecast is calling for sunshine plus mid 68’s during the afternoon however mid 50’s at evening. The cabin my good friend and I are renting has no heat other than the fireplace. I am used to my HVAC system that keeps me cool or warm depending on the weather. I know I am spoiled in that I can control my home’s temperatures with the push of a button. We even have Smart Thermostats which means that my good friend and I can change the temperature while my good friend and I are away with our iPhones. Being addicted to technology makes it difficult to imagine trying to keep the fire going through the evening to stay warm. Although I am greatly looking forward to spending time with my spouse in the quiet surroundings. I am upset about the other parts of the trip. I will make the best of it I am sure as my good friend and I do not get this possibility to escape actually often. Hoping to catch some fish plus at least be able to have a fresh fish dinner one of the evenings! That is always a treat.
