I needed my own space and in the worst way.
- For sure, I love my family and they are my absolute main priority in life.
They are the reason I spend so much time inside the commercial HVAC of the office earning a living. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. However,I’m also the sort of guy that needs to be quiet in order to balance my emotions and my thoughts. I work in a pretty high pressure situation where there can often be quite a bit of confrontation. That’s part of the job and it’s part of the job that I really don’t like. I’m not exactly a confrontational person so it takes a lot out of me when I have to lean into that side of the business. When I come home and walk inside the central air conditioning of my house to people yelling at each other, it’s not so great. Our kids are now at the age where they are always into each other about something. Whether it’s the thermostat setting or who wore whose sweater, there is always a high volume conversation going on. And it just gets to be too much. My wife pretty much took over the office that we were supposed to share. It’s now sort of her hobby center and her place to get away. So I ended up searching for a space of my own. I found it in the finished attic. I don’t know why the previous owner finished the attic with walls and a plywood floor. But it’s now my quiet space. And after the HVAC professional installed a ductless heat pump, it’s a super comfortable quiet space. This ductless heat pump provides amazing air conditioning and I barely have seen a blip on our utility bill.
