HVAC Repair Tips for Homeowners

We have a big music festival tonight by the beach, which is something I am not into, but it will be cool to see the local bands play while we are playing our ball games on the beach.

My neighbor said though that the local bands play music that he genuinely doesn’t like, and he is from the area, which tells me that the music must be bad.

But it is only for two afternoons and then the festival is finished and we will get our quiet beach back once again. This week I have to hit the local supplier to get food for the week, and I am hoping the air conditioned store is not overpacked with all of the people who came to the neighborhood to see the show. I try to shop at the slowest time of the day, which seems to be between 3pm and 5:00pm when most of the early customers are done and the working customers are still at their jobs. The local business told me about the sweet spot for shopping there and I have been going in that window of opening for the past few years. This week I need to stock up on food as my neighbor is visiting and I want to cook some meals for her. She is a heating rep and is coming to the neighborhood here for a few days for a heating and cooling system meeting at the supplier near where I live. I just need to clean up the extra living room where she will sleep and then I am all set.

I’m going to dedicate the next hour to doing my work and then I will take a little ride to return a package and make an appointment to see the dreaded dentist.

Why on earth would anyone want to be a dentist? I think there is someone cut out for every job, but drilling in teeth and causing pain for people seems like a less fun way to gain a living. I think playing music in a band or doing standup comedy would be a bit more fun, even if the pay is just a tad less. My cooling supplier plays lots of gigs in bars and makes good money, but the real money comes when you hit the big time. I don’t care if I hit the big time though, I just want to make fun music and appreciate playing music for people who like what we do. I would like to play in an air conditioned place at least, so I am not suffering in the overheated and cold months of the year. Making a little money would be nice playing music, but my job pays me well and I genuinely don’t need extra money to get by. I like doing radiant floor upgrades each week for the heating corp that I work for and could keep doing it for another five or so years without any troubles. I will then transition more into music and ride that wave the rest of my life till l can’t play anymore. I think I will go feed the cats now and then get back to work and finish this stuff up.

It is high noon and I just got off the phone with my neighbor Matt who is talking about moving here overseas with me to live in the small beach neighborhood where I am now.

He makes podcasts and interviews people and wants to escape the mad hustle and bustle of the States so he can focus on his craft and not have to stress so much about making a living. It is much cheaper living here, and if you are working for an American supplier like I am, you don’t have to put in the crazy hours. My Heating and Air Conditioning supplier boss has me working just 15 hours a week at the store, which is enough to support me each month here with even a few hundred bucks left over to drop in the bank. I don’t have to spend any time stuck in rush hour traffic like I used to back in the US and that also goes towards more time to put into my craft. I do some smart thermostat programming for the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier each morning and then by the time 4pm comes I am free to do as I please. Tonight we will have a little volleyball gathering for my buddy’s birthday and maybe play a few matches. My back is cooling down now with some cold gel to try and stop the pain, which should be gone soon after heating it up with a overheated water bottle. I may play or I may just watch and get in a short workout for the morning. Have a nice one!

Today is Tuesday and I could even do all of this work on Wednesday if I wanted to, but I think I will just do a little each morning and get it done slowly.

I just heard the cats get into a little scuffle in the living room, which means my flatmate let her aggressive cat out and it attacked mine yet again. I just don’t want my two friendly cats becoming mean from her cat attacking them all of the time. It doesn’t happen often, but when her cat fights with mine I feel like it is making them into angrier cats. I don’t know though, maybe they will stay the same and are just sharpening their claws with these little scuffles, but regardless, I don’t think my cats like it much. Heating and cooling repairs are on the agenda today and I also have to go shopping and get the home cleaned up some for my Heating and Air Conditioning rep guest who is coming on Wednesday. Today is Tuesday and I could even do all of this work on Wednesday if I wanted to, but I think I will just do a little each morning and get it done slowly. I am working in my air conditioned office right now and I have my one cat sitting on my legs, heating her body up as I type these words. This week I will return this package and do some shopping in the store when it slows down a bit around 3pm or so. Then tomorrow I can disinfect my HEPA filter and get the guest bathroom cleaned up for my heating tech neighbor coming on Wednesday. I don’t have a lot of cleaning to do though, namely the guest living room and the lavatory, which I can do in half an hour.
