HVAC Repair Tips for Homeowners

I’m sure we will make mistakes and have some bad shows, but this is what life is about and you have to take a chance sometimes to get anywhere in life

We will play music today on the streets and by the sea and I want to come up with some new sounds and songs today. We did some work on our site last night and got some promotional material done, so today is going to be just have fun and play music kind of day. Our music isn’t the best as far as our singing and playing style, but it is fun and people seem to enjoy it so we gotta give this dream a shot or it will fade away. My bandmate is a bit leery of playing air conditioned clubs but we need to contact them at least to see if there is any interest in us performing there. I think we are ready as ever and our music is for sure fun, as I was a standup comedian for 15 years and know how to entertain people and get a few laughs. The a/c repair guy told us to put it out there and see what happens because you don’t know if you don’t try. I want to work as a heating tech by day and do music shows by night in clubs with good climate control systems so we aren’t sweating or freezing during the extreme months of the year. I’m sure we will make mistakes and have some bad shows, but this is what life is about and you have to take a chance sometimes to get anywhere in life. I like doing space heater repairs and things in the HVAC world, but music is my passion.

I can’t wait to see if my car company can dig itself out of the hole it is in.

I bought 10K shares of this stock a couple of years ago when it was at $20 a share and have patiently watched it erode all the way down to 22 cents a share because of production delays and financing problems.

So now do I sell? No way. All I can do is hold now and hope it rebounds, as they are finally building cars and hopefully going to start making money finally. My $200K is down to $2K, and HVAC tech work is back on the table as I can’t touch that money for probably years to come. I wish I never bought the stock but it is too late now to turn back, so now I just have to wait and hope. I worked for a long time in the heating and cooling industry to make that money and am not going to lose it this way, so I’ll just keep my head down and keep doing my ductwork cleaning jobs and a/c filter sales and see what this car company is made of. I really don’t think they are going to let 10 years of work and billions in loans just slip out of their hands without a fight, so now it comes down to patience and more patience. My HVAC rep dad always told me that I gotta learn to relax, so now I am heeding his advice and relaxing while I just do my cooling technician jobs each day and let time float by.

So our goal this summer is to get into a rotation at four or five clubs and do two or three paid shows a week. We are getting some cards made with our band name and website and are going to hand them out to all of the clubs in town and in the nearby towns. We figure if we get 500 cards to 500 clubs over the next few months that we will get a few hits and be doing paid shows in clubs on a regular basis. We are going to try the HVAC company too because they like our music and I think they want to have us do a gig for all of the cooling techs coming for a big convention next month. I would like to make $500 a month doing music shows and then I can cut back a bit on my work at my regular job, which is my long term plan in the end. I would like to quit my HVAC specialist job in a year or two and be doing music all the time, as it is so fun and gets me out in the mix instead of sitting in my flat staring at my cat. I have a nice air purifier in my flat and the air quality is really good in my town, but I want to get out more and around people because I tend to be a loner and it can get quite lonely. I will contact my bandmate now and get going on these cards to make our dreams happen.

I’ve been really wanting to get a brand new air filter but I’ve been having a big problem lately.

They’re all out of the air filters! Now if I lived in a really large city this wouldn’t be a big issue at all, all I have to do is go to a new heating and AC business, after all.

In the cities there’s tons of heating and cooling businesses everywhere. You have your large heating and AC companies and then you have your smaller heating and AC businesses but it doesn’t really matter who you go to as long as you can get the air filter that you need. However this isn’t an option for me because unfortunately for me I live in a rural area and when you live in a rural area you can have a really hard time getting the air filters, or any heating AC products for that matter that you need. This is just because in the town that I live in we only have one large heating and AC provider and this is the one heating and AC company that I go to all the time to get my air filters. So when they’re out of air filters they’re out of air filters and there really isn’t anything that I can do about it until I get more air filters in but unfortunately according to the heating and AC business they’re having a shortage of air filters so they’re having a hard time even ordering more in. This all started ever since there was a huge sale on HEPA filters and now all the HEPA filters are sold out and once the HEPA the filters are sold out people started buying all the disposable air filters too and so now those are gone.
