I stood outside the mall looking in last week, and I thought they had done a beautiful task with their Christmas decorations.

I walked in to purchase my partner a Christmas present, and I realized the snowflakes weren’t a decoration. The Heating and Air Conditioning corporation was calling me to repair the oil furnace. I had to laugh at the irony, but I wasn’t ready to work. I didn’t have any tools with me, and I had driven my personal car to the mall. I explained this to the dispatcher, and she told me to hurry and get my stuff. The mall was losing corporation because of the oil furnace. I told the lady at the purchaser service desk that I was the Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman, and I would return in many hours. She told me it better be a fast many hours, because the snow was beginning to pile up. I ran out of the store, and almost fell in the snow, but I got the oil furnace repaired in record time, and they still had more than one hours before closing time.

I’m not sure what was happening, but Last weekI went to visit my dad and the heat was so intense it almost blew me away, i couldn’t believe how sizzling it was in her house.

I asked if there was a concern with the oil furnace, and she said no! She thought it was cold in the house, and she turned the control component up.

She turned the control component up to ninety degrees. I sat and talked to dad a couple of hours after turning the control component down, and realized something was wrong. In less than half an hour, she asked me many times why I had come over. I told him I just wanted to stop in and see him. She asked if I thought it was cold and headed over to look at the control unit. She turned the control component back up and walked over to sit down. I wanted to suppose if she was feeling okay, and she said she was fine. I called an ambulance and gave them dad’s PC number, however the entire time she kept asking why I came to the house; When all of us got to the hospital, they told me she had a stroke. I now sit back and wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t stopped by that evening. She could have succumbed to the heat because she was already dehydrated when she got to the hospital. While she was in the hospital, I moved all of her things to my home, and she is now residing with my partner and I so all of us can keep an eye on him.

Tonight the people I was with and I take the hour train ride into the larger neighborhood to do a set at a music open mic.
