HVAC Repair Tips for Homeowners

I am one of the most soft hearted people you will ever meet when it comes to pets.

It doesn’t matter the type, with the exception of snakes; Even at that, I will not harm them unless they are poisonous and in my territory.

At any rate, I try and make the lives of most creatures, wild or domestic, as comfortable as possible. Heck, my buddy and I even buy immense bags of cracked corn and doveseed to feed all the wildlife that stop in the yard all winter time long, the weather this winter time has been really serious. I let my own pets out for just a few moments at a time, just long enough to finish their contractor and come back into the heated environment. Now, I know I can’t do this for all the people, but, I am trying to feel of a way for the wild turkeys that come each day to go into my old chicken coop. I no longer have chickens and it would be shelter for them. I even have heat lamps out there so they could be overheated during the long cold afternoons. They could come and go as they pleased, have a food source, and be able to overheated up a bit. I just feel sorry for them sitting out in the ice and snow each day. My hubby may not love the increase in the electric bill from running heat lamps in the coop all the time and that is genuinely my only reason for not doing that… I am cheerful that my own pets have a comfortable place to live. They have the benefit of a great HVAC system and are not subjected to the environment all day long.

I feel the locale I am most at peace is at the shore.

I know that all the people getaway by the ocean for the sun and the sand.

They care about laying out in the warmth of the sun all afternoon long and getting a good tan. I am the polar opposite. During the heat of the afternoon, I spend my time either in the shade of a palm tree studying or in the home with the air conditioner running. I simply do not care for being hot. I get up early so that I can kneel outside, care about my coffee, and take in the view along with the cool ocean breeze that blows. The odor of the air is just heavenly. By late day the air starts to heat up for the afternoon and I retreat back inside. I spend the afternoon puttering around the home and wait for the sun to begin to set. I may take a ride into neighborhood and visit some local shops if they are air conditioned but for the most part I am somewhat of a hermit during the afternoon. Once the sun sets, I take walks on the beach or head back to neighborhood to care about the nightlife. People who getaway at the beach are so much fun to hang out with and talk to. The area vendors stay late so I can always to see them when it is cool and comfortable out. I am grateful that I have the chance to live in such a good locale. I am more grateful that I have an awesome Heating and Air Conditioning system to keep me comfortable during the tepid sunny mornings. Very rarely do I need to have the heat on. During the winter season my associate and I have absolutely mild temperatures. I do have a couple of portable furnaces that I can use in the event it gets too cold in the home but that is a rarity for sure.

I have been accused on more than one chance of being too soft hearted.

I tend to take on projects to help others even when it totally conflicts with my time schedule and lifestyle.

I feel that this is a good quality in all the people but mine can be too a fault occasionally. I have and especially soft spot when it comes to creatures. I have often said I would care about to foster homeless cats and cats but fear that they would all become “foster failures” as i would not want to provide them up. That being said, our local shelter put out an urgent call for temporary fosters yesterday when their Heating and Air Conditioning system broke down. They needed people to home some of the creatures for a week or so while they arranged for repairs. The understanding was that the creatures would be returned to them once they had everything up and running. I convinced my family to allow me to foster two of the puppies that they had that were about 12 weeks old. They were so cute that all the people agreed to the temporary set up. I feel my husband knew in the back of his mind this was not a good idea. The puppies arrived and they were just adorable. The shelter said that they had a contractor that would be out the following week to make the repairs and that they would contact to let us know when to bring them back. It turns out that the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor tried to repair the problem but found that the system needed to be updated. The shelter is a non-profit and it does not have the money to do that at this time. I wish I have the funds to provide them although I don’t. The only help I can provide is a romantic home for these two adorable puppies until they can get it fixed. This is a win for me as I can’t bear to part with them now anyway.

Although I am greatly looking forward to spending time with my fiance in the quiet surroundings.

I am undoubtedly excited to be heading to the state park for a fishing trip in two weeks. It has been a undoubtedly hard Summer and I certainly need to get away. The idea of sitting by the water with a fishing pole in hand, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the view, seems like perfection to me. We are going with my fiance’s aunt and uncle for a three afternoon trip. The only thing I am upset about is the weather. The long range forecast is calling for sun and mid 75’s during the afternoon but mid 50’s at night. The cottage my buddy and I are renting has no heat other than the fireplace. I am used to my Heating, Ventilation and A/C system that keeps me cool or hot depending on the weather. I think I am spoiled in that I can control my home’s temperatures with the push of a button. We even have Smart Thermostats which means that my buddy and I can change the temperature while my buddy and I are away with our PCs. Being addicted to technology makes it difficult to imagine trying to keep the fire going through the night to stay warm. Although I am greatly looking forward to spending time with my fiance in the quiet surroundings. I am nervous about the other parts of the trip. I will make the best of it I am sure as my buddy and I do not get this opening to escape undoubtedly often. Hoping to catch some fish and at least be able to have a fresh fish supper one of the afternoons! That is consistently a treat.
