What would you do if you won a million dollars? Would you quit your job? Would you buy a big house and an expensive car? A lot of people really want to win that money but I don’t know if they would know what to do with it all and if they would be any happier. I think exciting is the best way to describe winning a million bucks, I don’t think it would ultimately make you happier unless maybe you were living below your comfort level and working at a job you didn’t like. I’d still be an HVAC tech if I won a million and would keep working part time like I am doing now. I’ve already owned a nice house and a Lamborghini Diablo twenty years ago and it didn’t make me any happier, in fact, the happiest I felt was the day I got the car and after that it turned into pride and ego. I would keep working at the local business and living just how I am living now. There really isn’t anything I would do differently except maybe give a bit more money away to those in need. I like working at the HVAC business and if I just quit and didn’t work I think I would feel kind of empty and unhappy because of not having a purpose or being productive. I’ve already traveled all over the world so traveling more is out of the question. Besides, I don’t like spending my time in ice cold airports under a big air conditioning vent.
A Day in the Sun for Reflection
I can honestly say that I have never gone through so much loss in such a short amount of time in my 55 years on this planet.
- In the past two years I’ve lost; two girlfriends, my dad, $110K savings, my health, and my mind.
Losing my mind came from losing all of the other things and I am trying to accept the losses and move on, which is proving to be quite difficult. I guess there is a lesson to all of this loss but I am too far in it to see the lesson. My job at the heating company is the only stable thing in my life lately. If I didn’t have this job I would probably be one of those bums sleeping next to a building. Repairing and cleaning HVAC systems takes my mind off all of these losses but when I get home they return again. The one girlfriend I lost was the best connection I’ve ever had with someone and that hurt me the most, even more than my poor dad dying. I guess working on air conditioners and furnaces each day is my lifeline and I need to go and thank my boss for keeping me when I was crying at work over my losses. I was literally answering the phone with tears in my eyes trying to keep calm and help customers with HVAC equipment problems and questions. I guess you can’t see tears on a phone but they probably could hear it in my voice. I’ll be okay and sorry for dumping this on you today. Love and luck to you all.
Commercial vs Residential HVAC Systems
It is truly amazing how far the industry has come with the efficiency of the units nowadays.
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are used to regulate the temperature and air quality in a given space. While residential HVAC systems are designed for smaller spaces, commercial HVAC systems are much larger and more complex. As a result, commercial HVAC systems require regular maintenance from qualified HVAC technicians. Additionally, commercial HVAC systems often feature more advanced features, such as quality air conditioning and HEPA filters. Finally, commercial HVAC systems typically have a higher SEER rating, which means they are more energy-efficient than their residential counterparts. Ultimately, the choice of HVAC system depends on the specific needs of the space it will be used in. My dad had such a big house that he needed two commercial AC units and two air handlers in his house. I remember him having power bills as high as $1000 a month at one point when he had some less efficient units installed. He finally got rid of them and put in ultra high efficient HVAC systems and now his power bills are closer to $200 a month. It is truly amazing how far the industry has come with the efficiency of the units nowadays. I can run the air in my house almost nonstop and my power bills are at the most $120 a month. About 30 years ago if I did the same my power bills would be almost as much as my rent! I am very grateful for all of the hard work the HVAC techs and engineers have done over the last 30 years. They have really made them so efficient now.
Keeping Cool with My Quality HVAC System
I really want to play some beach ball today but my knees are telling me otherwise.
I guess I could always do some warm up exercises with my volleyball partner so that I don’t overexert my knees too much.
I just need them to heal a few more days and they will be good to go again. I also need to go to the local business later and get some Icy Hot for the pain. A lot of times the best solution to pain in the body is rest, something that I seem to find very difficult to do. I have a problem with being patient and relaxing for some reason, even though my HVAC rep dad told me a thousand times “you gotta learn to relax Davo”. I think my impatience comes from feeling like something is missing in my life but not knowing what it is. That alone can give you anxiety and maybe I just need to get older to understand that nothing is missing in my life. I always feel like I need to be somewhere other than where I am. Do you feel like this at all or is it just me? I work at the heating and cooling corp and always am looking at the clock to see how much longer till I can go home. When I get home I am thinking I should be outside doing something with my friends. I guess I’ll take this nervous energy and clean my ductwork later today to at least do something productive. Nothing is missing in my life, when will I get this?
