HVAC Repair Tips for Homeowners

Our friends child is getting married tomorrow and the weather forecast is absolutely grim.

This summer time my associate and I have so many ceremony it seems like that is all my associate and I do.

Our own child was married in May and my associate and I have 5 others total this year. I care about ceremonys and always like to see the personal touches that people add to make their afternoon special. This ceremony is being held at a grove. The forecast for the afternoon so far is 84 degrees with thunderstorms. I am praying that this changes for them. I can only imagine the prospective brides thoughts at this moment. I know our child was upset about the weather weeks in advance but it all turned out well on the large afternoon. This time I am not so sure. I don’t even know if the grove has an indoor space with air conditioner. This makes deciding how to dress absolutely difficult as well. The last thing I want to do is kneel for hours in a tepid and muggy reception hall just wishing the night would end. I feel I will call the location today to see what the situation is at their facility. I am sure they have encountered these types of situations before and have hopefully planned for them. Who knows, maybe I am upset for nothing. They may have a room with a state of the art Heating and Air Conditioning system that will keep the 200+ guests cool and comfortable. If not, maybe they should change the dress code from formal to shorts and flip flops. A luau theme might be nice.

I think the locale I am most at peace is at the shore.

I know that everyone holiday by the ocean for the sun and the sand.

They love laying out in the warmth of the sun all afternoon long and getting a wonderful tan. I am the polar opposite. During the heat of the afternoon, I spend my time either in the shade of a palm tree reading or in the dwelling with the air conditioning running. I simply do not like being hot. I get up early so that I can sit outside, love my coffee, and take in the view along with the cool ocean breeze that blows. The smell of the air is just heavenly. By late day the air starts to heat up for the afternoon and I retreat back inside. I spend the afternoon puttering around the dwelling and wait for the sun to begin to set. I may take a ride into neighborhood and visit some local shops if they are air conditioned but for the most part I am somewhat of a hermit during the afternoon. Once the sun sets, I take walks on the beach or head back to neighborhood to love the nightlife; People who holiday at the beach are so much fun to hang out with and talk to. The area vendors stay late so I can consistently to see them when it is cool and comfortable out. I am grateful that I have the opening to live in such a wonderful locale. I am more grateful that I have an awesome Heating, Ventilation and A/C system to keep me comfortable during the sizzling sunny afternoons. Very rarely do I need to have the heat on. During the winter my buddy and I have undoubtedly mild temperatures. I do have a couple of portable heaters that I can use in the event it gets too cold in the dwelling but that is a rarity for sure.

I can’t picture myself as someone’s spouse in a few weeks.

I always look back and wonder how it even happened. And given the fact that I’m 53 years old would seem to make me less skeptical about marriage. That said, my new husband and I have known each other all our lives. We’ve been friends for as long as I can remember and things just sort of became romantic a few years ago. We picked my place as our new home and needed to make a few HVAC adjustments to perfect it. Due to location and size, we thought this would be the best place to call our home, at least for now. His area was a large family home where he had raised his kids from a previous marriage. Just thinking about the heating and cooling costs of such a bi house was insane. Speaking of heating and cooling, that was like the first thing he mentioned when he moved in. I bet I hadn’t paid that much attention to most things before. Being the sort of woman who can end up wearing socks all day, I’m not always keenly aware of things like that, especially not the heating and air conditioning. We had to visit the VAC company next to my house and learned more about the different HVAC equipment. It is amazing how much the AC technology has changed. And we got it all right this time round. Everything from the zone controlled heating and cooling was exciting for us. I’m just glad this comes at a time when I’m learning to be somebody’s wife.

When the call came from upstairs, I was surprised.

But I figured the big bosses wouldn’t waste their time on firing me.

That’s what my boss was for. As soon as the elevator doors opened, it felt different in the executive floors. They have a zone controlled HVAC system and all sorts of convenient amenities. Not to say that the floor I work on is some sort of sauna because it’s so not. However, it’s not anything close to the executive floors. Speaking of zone controlled Heating, and cooling, I noted on my way into the small conference room that it had its own temperature control on the wall. My boss was the one to greet me first and the other bosses nodded hello. They got right to the point. They wanted me to head up an office that needed new leadership. This is not the sort of opportunity that one turns down. So I quickly jumped on it. Of course, that didn’t go well with my spouse. She loved it where we lived. Besides that, we had just completed the renovations on our current home. But it was those renovations that involved updating everything including the HVAC system. My partner was not happy but she understood that I didn’t have much of a choice in the decisions. After all, the opportunity came with bigger and better offers. It’s funny though that the first project in the new, larger and better home we purchased was to replace the HVAC system as this seems to be a thing in most houses.
