I honestly wasn’t sure which path to take when it came to different heat and AC products.

• It was all so confusing like I didn’t know if I should get a programmable thermostat or a smart thermostat.

I didn’t know if I should get an advanced UV air purification system or just quality HEPA filters. There was so much I didn’t know and didn’t understand. Fortunately, I ended up calling a local contractor near me. The HVAC expert who came out told me all about modern HVAC technology like radiant heated floors, dual-fuel heating systems, ductless mini split air conditioners and more. He helped me figure things out with the thermostats. He told me how a programmable thermostat allows you to program your schedule for certain temperature control settings and permits you to save as much as 10% on your energy bills. He explained that smart thermostats being more high tech allow you to save up to 15% on the energy bills compared to traditional thermostats. They also have fancy features like remote control through the smart app on your phone and you receive regular updates on when to go for HVAC maintenance and when to change your air filters. I have to say, I was interested in going for a smart thermostat after hearing about some of the details. I also decided to have a dual-fuel heating system in my house. It uses a gas furnace working together with a heat pump to provide all my heating and cooling needs. The best thing is that this HVAC is highly energy efficient!

My family has been growing marijuana on our family farm for the past 50 years.

It wasn’t exactly legal when we started growing marijuana, but my dad found a way to turn the pot business into a lucrative and legal business.

About 10 years ago, he signed up with the state to get a medical marijuana growing permit. After he was approved for the permit, the farm doubled in size and we started harvesting hemp along with marijuana. Recently we purchased brand new cultivation equipment for the farm. The cultivation equipment was supposed to arrive in April, but it didn’t show up until right before the harvest. We had a brand new combine to help pick the marijuana and we also had an extraction lab for the hemp. We were starting to worry when the cultivation equipment didn’t show up on time. The processing facility told us everything was on the way. There were some problems with the shipping that had the shipment delayed, but we were told that everything would be here before the 10th of May. I was nervous, but the cultivation equipment arrived right before the Harvest. It was 3 days before we were supposed to pick the plants and I told my dad that we were going to harvest no matter whether we had the new equipment or not. I was going to go into town and hire a bunch of able-bodied people to help us. There’s no way I was going to let the harvest wait just because the cultivation equipment did not arrive on time.

Have you ever had days that were just perfect days? I feel like these perfect days come too few in a lifetime.

Now what makes a perfect day will obviously vary depending on the person, and people have different opinions so I’ll just tell you mine.

For me a perfect day is a sunny day, a warm summer day. Summer days are filled with all kinds of fun activities that you can do. It can be hard sometimes to find the time, especially if you have a job that requires a lot of hours. But that is what the weekends are for! I love nothing more than two on the weekends go out with my kids and play some games. We play all kinds of games. It could be something physical like sports, or something more comical like a board game. Whatever it is for me a perfect day is getting to spend time with my family, enjoying the warm weather and eating some sweet treats. Last weekend I had one of these perfect days I got to do everything I wanted in one day. Not only did I get everything done and accomplished and so I had the rest of the day to do whatever I wanted, but I got to have a lot of fun with my husband and kids. After we played some board games inside everyone outside and played in the Sun. I’ll admit, I completely released my inner child that’s what I was chasing my children around the yard I wasn’t doing it just for them but I was doing it for me too.

Maybe you’re going to think that is weird, but in my opinion The simple pleasures from life come from having a HVAC system.

Now before you judge me, hear me out.

Could you imagine living in an era before there was Heating and cooling? Probably not, I hear stories from my parents and grandparents about how they had to rely on fans, shade, and swimming in pools during hot summer days. As someone who has never had to live that life or grow up in that I just cannot fathom it. Every time I’m too hot in my house I simply walk over to my thermostat and turn on the cooling. Then within moments I have cool air flowing out of my air vents cooling my whole house down. It all happens so quickly and I think I’m just spoiled for getting things nearly instantly. Sure if the house is really hot and then it will take the air conditioning system a couple of hours to cool it down, but for the most part it’s pretty quick and you can feel the results almost immediately. The same wasn’t true back in the day which is why I very much appreciate and modern technology. I would argue that one of the simple pleasures in life is simply being comfortable, and it’s hard to be comfortable without a heating and cooling system. This is why I take good care of my HVAC system, so that I can hopefully have it for many years to come.
