HVAC Repair Tips for Homeowners

What do you do if something if you’re not even sure if you were going to use it? This is the predicament I was facing with my standard air purifier.

First let me probably say that I do not have any indoor air quality problems. This is mostly thanks to my whole home air purification system, but just the other day my friend came over and dropped off an old standing air purifier that she has if she’s no longer needed. It was a kind thing to do she really thought that I could use it. But in reality it’s just taking up space in my closet, I’m not really sure what to use it for considering already have perfect indoor air quality in my home. It was an easy to obtain but with the whole home air purification system and a high-powered HVAC unit it was accomplishable. I decided to ask around there’s anyone that was in need of a air purifier into my surprise I found many people that were looking to get one. So I put it up for free on a first come first serve basis and it was gone an hour after I put the ad up. Well I hope someone makes good use of it. It was a good quality air purifier and apart from its age it still works great. As for me, I am still sticking to my heating and air conditioning system, and my whole home air purification system. I really do have the best kind of climate control, because the thing that runs my wonderful heating and AC system is my smart thermostat. I don’t know what I would do without it.

Just the other day I was sitting on TV watching the news when I saw the weather channel came on.

So I decided to watch it and see what the forecast would be and I was upset when I saw that we were due to get some heavy thunderstorms.

What started out as a heavy thunderstorm over the few days very quickly turned into a hurricane. It got so bad where we had no choice but to flee the area in order to escape the bad weather. While I was staying in the hotel all I could think about was my heating and cooling system. I had just purchased a brand new central heating and AC system. This was part of my home renovation that I had been doing to modernize the house I had just bought. The brand new heating and cooling system had just been installed in the house and I was afraid of the hurricane was going to destroy it. The hurricane has terrible timing, of all times for it to arrive. I called the meeting in AC business and thankfully since I had just purchased it it was still under warranty but that still didn’t mean that I wanted to destroyed. I sat in the hotel that entire day anxiously away for the storm to be over so I can return home. The storm lasted at two full days and after it was over I was able to return home. I was advised not to try to turn on my heating and cooling system in case it was damaged and to have a heating and AC guy come and look at it first. So I scheduled an appointment with the HVAC company and the following day they came out and take a look at my heat and AC unit system. My great relief, the heating and AC professional told me that my system was good to go and it had suffered no damage. I was greatly relieved to hear this.

Have you had it when you just knew that it was time for a change? When you had been living the same life for so long that now you knew you just needed something different.

I am not talking like a vacation or anything like that I am talking about a full blown move to another place.

This is what my wife and I decided to do after 20 years. Move to a small town around 15 years ago and had loved every single minute of it. But now the environment was not what it used to be and it was time for us to pick up and go somewhere else. The crazy thing was because of these new people that were living here we were becoming less and less wanted in our own hometown. It was fine with me I was ready to move on to better things anyways. I had noticed over the years that the winters were gradually getting colder and colder and maintaining my gas furnace was getting harder and harder. It seemed like instead of having my gas furnace maintained by the heating and cooling professionals every year I was now doing it every 6 months. I don’t know if that’s just because my furnace is getting older or if it’s because the winters are getting colder but I have a hunch that it’s a bit of both. All in all I’m tired of dealing with the cold anyways and I’m looking forward to retiring in a much warmer location. The location where I’ll have to worry about is the air conditioner and having my AC tune-ups. I already found the place and I’m going to be moving next month. It’s a bittersweet moment for me but I do look forward for the change I need.

I had lived in the same town for most of my life, but if you’re living there around 27 years at last time for a change.

When I first moved here it was a small town and it was a local community and I knew everybody.

However slowly, we had more and more people from out of town moving here and it has the population of my town grew it became more and more developed until it isn’t really much of a small town anymore. Because the small town life has always been the life for me, I couldn’t imagine living any other way and so my wife and I decided to pack up and move. It wasn’t just that either it was also the temperatures, as much as I had always loved this place the temperatures had always been a bit too chilly for me and I decided that it was time to move somewhere warm. I was tired of having to constantly maintain my furnace with the heating and AC business all the time because if I did not maintain my furnace then they could break down and I would be out of luck for heat for the winter. The area was moving to was much warmer, a place where the heating and cooling system are combined into one and therefore caring for your HVAC system will be much simpler. I’m looking forward to warm weather for my retirement. I had done a lot of researching online and I found the perfect small town for me and myself. I’m really going to miss the northern area that I come from. The area will always have a special place in my heart, but it’s time for a change I’m ready to take on a challenge of living in a much warmer climate where I don’t have to worry about heating my home so much and only about my air conditioning system.
