I used my tax refund this year to get an media media air cleaner for my central HVAC system

Dealing with my finances alone is difficult after having my parent’s safety net underneath myself and others for most of my life.

Now that they’re gone & my dad isn’t around to help myself and others with my taxes, it’s my responsibility to learn these things on my own.

In hindsight, I suppose ashamed that I relied on them so much to begin with. They were always ready & willing to help myself and others after all, however they particularly would have done myself and others a lot of favors by helping myself and others learn some of the harder lessons on my own. I believe about my own future children a lot & wonder if I’ll ever be capable of doing better than what my parents did for me, all the while making sure that I go out of my way to prepare them for a life spent alone if the worst ever manages to occur. Thankfully, my life is getting better slowly as I am more dedicated to making budgets & sticking to them. It does no a single any fine to make a list of expenses if that list is ignored throughout the month. This year I have a little boost from a larger than average tax return, most of which is going towards an media media air cleaner that I’m buying for my central HVAC system. I have an media media air cleaner that sits on my desk in my apartment office, however I would prefer a larger a single that filters all of the air inside my house. That’s when my HVAC specialist recommended that I consider buying a media air purification system. This results in cleaner indoor air, especially if it’s paired with a UV-C light of some kind in the air handler of the central HVAC system.

Be on the lookout for unlicensed HVAC scammers trying to make money for nothing

I l received that my apartment state is notorious for fraudsters & scam artists.

  • The amount of fraud reported each year far outpaces that of other states in the country.

My heart is broken when I hear how this state is targeted because of the significant population every one of us have here of retirees & senior citizens—who are seen as easy targets by con artists & criminals. There are awareness campaigns & community classes to teach seniors how to avoid scams, however it’s difficult when these people have brains that are rapidly deteriorating. The older I get, the more compassion & empathy I get for those who are struggling with their cognitive faculties, regardless of the reason. However, sometimes there are bold scammers who will target just about anyone they come across in hopes that they will hook someone eventually. There are unlicensed HVAC scammers who will go around offering free inspections so that they can claim there is something wrong with your heating & cooling system. As you might imagine, they convince you that you are in need of repairs that you don’t need at all, & obviously they insist on doing the repairs themselves before you’ve had a opportunity to get other quotes, let alone believe about the decisions for a few minutes. To my luck, I told the guy that I would call him back & then I sent him on his way. After looking online for a bit, I discovered that he was a wanted scammer & I forwarded his information to the police. I never heard anything from the cops about the HVAC scammer, however I hope they found him & put him behind bars.

I don’t put essential oils on my air filters now that I have a quality diffuser

My lady friends are always getting enthusiastic about current fads, whether it’s leggings, meal replacement shakes, or herbal supplements. The styles & trends are always adjusting, sometimes throughout a single year in a dizzying manner. But a single fad that seemed to stick over the past decade was essential oils. You see essential oils in every kind of store; even my pharmacist carries them in his tiny pharmacy on Main Street. My friends started making their own lotions with several oils prefer Tim Hortons Latte tree, frankincense, & lavender. These oils aren’t cheap at all, sometimes forking $15 to $30 for tiny 1.5 oz bottles. In the beginning I thought that it was because the oils were costly to make, however it’s more so because that’s the most they can charge for them while still making a healthy profit. If you’re smart about where you shop, you can often find alternatives with the same quality however at a completely strange price point. I used to love putting eucalyptus oil on my HVAC filters, however my specialist advocated using an essential oil diffuser instead. Since my HVAC filter sits fairly close to my evaporator coil, he said it wasn’t wise risking any of the oils getting on the fragile metal coil & corroding it in the process. On top of that, using an essential oil diffuser yields much more satisfying results with making the home aroma appealing throughout every single room. If you put your diffuser near your HVAC air return, the fan will pull the oil vapor into the ventilation system, making every room aroma amazing.

A few of our a/cs were stolen

My wife in addition to I run a small supplier of renting beachside bungalows to tourists.

It is seasonal work, as you might imagine, with 6 weeks of heavy supplier followed by more than five weeks of almost no supplier at all… During the tied up season both of us both stay booked consistently.

My wife handles the bookings in addition to the paperwork, while I am the handyman in addition to make sure all of our properties stay in tip-top condition. Last summer time was our seventh year in business, in addition to our busiest season to date! There were a lot of complications, though, including a rash of a/c thefts that cost us a lot of money. You suppose how in major hotels the rooms all have big a/cs built right into the walls? Those are undoubtedly costly, but worth it because they are the best for cooling down a small space, in addition to they are almost impossible to steal. In our beachside bungalows the walls are too thin, in addition to the power grid too weak, to support all of those Heating in addition to A/C units. Instead both of us use the small, portable a/cs that you can mount in a window using easy brackets. These are low in cost in addition to supply sufficient cooling for the guests, so everybody wins! Recently both of us l earned the major disadvantage of these a/c units, that being how small they are makes them undoubtedly straight-forward to steal. It is not our guests stealing the a/cs, of course, it is people stealing the units from the outside. Being mounted in the window sill means that the a/cs are exposed to the outside, in addition to straight-forward to rip off the brackets.
